The Microblading Healing Timeline, Day by Day
Fresh microblading always looks bolder than the final result — that’s by design. Pigment sits high in the skin on day one and softens roughly 30–40% as you heal. Here’s exactly what our clients experience.
Days 1–3: Bold and beautiful
Your brows look sharp, dark and possibly a little uneven as minor swelling settles. Keep them dry, dab gently if lymph fluid appears, and apply the healing balm exactly as directed — a rice-grain amount, twice a day.
Days 4–7: The flaky phase
Light flaking or scabbing begins. This is the one rule that matters: do not pick, peel or scratch. Let flakes fall naturally, avoid workouts that drench your face in sweat, and sleep on your back if you can.
Week 2: The “ghost” week
Strokes can look faint or patchy as new skin covers the pigment. Almost every client panics here — don’t. The colour resurfaces over the next two weeks as the skin finishes regenerating.
Weeks 3–4: True colour arrives
Your brows settle into their healed shade: softer, natural, and ready for assessment. At 6–8 weeks we hold your perfection visit, filling any patchy spots and adjusting tone.
Aftercare rules that matter most
- No water, steam, swimming or heavy sweating for 7 days.
- No makeup, creams or actives on the brows for 10 days.
- No sunbeds or direct sunbathing for 4 weeks — SPF after that, always.
- Retinoids and strong acids stay away from the brow area long-term to protect retention.
Heal well and your strokes stay crisp for 12–18 months. And remember — every Featherstroke client gets healing check-ins, so you’re never guessing alone.
