Ombré vs Nano Brows: Which One Is Actually Yours?
Two clients can walk in asking for “natural brows” and walk out with completely different techniques — because natural means different things on different skin. Here’s how we guide the choice.
Start with your skin type
Oily, thick or large-pored skin blurs fine strokes over time, so ombré shading — diffused pixels rather than crisp cuts — holds its definition far longer. Normal-to-dry skin keeps strokes beautifully, making it ideal for nano hair-stroke work.
Think about your makeup habits
If you currently fill your brows daily with powder or pencil and love that polished look, ombré replicates it permanently. If you never touch your brows and want people to believe you woke up like this, nano strokes are your match.
Consider your calendar
Both techniques last 18–24 months, but ombré typically fades the most evenly, needing fewer touch-ups. Nano’s individual strokes may need a slightly earlier refresh to stay crisp.
The honest answer
Many of our clients end up with combination brows — strokes at the front, shading through the tail. And if you truly can’t decide, that’s what your consultation is for: we analyse your skin, map both options on your face, and recommend only what will heal beautifully on you.
